Preparatory courses of the Czech in Czech Republic

International Linguistic Centre “ELVIEL” actively collaborates with the International Training Centre of Pre-college Education “JULIA’S SCHOOL” and they offer (recommend) you the following training programs of the Czech language to enter the university:

  1. Preparatory course of the Czech language at the Higher School of Economics

The program is oriented for those who want to study at one of the 6 department of VSE and was developed with account taken of the entrance examinations requirements (including entering the MA course) at VSE.

Apart from the Czech language classes, students (in groups of no more than 15 students) get trained at required for entering the university subjects. It gives you more chances for successful entering the university as well as makes the education easier during the initial period of training. The additional subjects are Mathematics, English, … .

Classes are conducted by the experienced teachers of VSE who developed the entrance examination tests.

Academic year (12. 09. 2011 – 18. 05. 2012):

Winter Term – 12. 09. 2011 – 17. 12. 2011 (14 weeks) – 25 hours of language studies a week (Czech)

Summer Term – 09. 01. 2012 – 18. 05. 2012 (19 weeks) – 20 hours of language studies a week (Czech) + 5 hours of studying the additional subjects

On completing the training course students are awarded the Certificates of successful completion of the course. Students with the certificates/diplomas of 4.7 and more grades (for students from the Ukraine the pass mark is 9.8) will be granted a single use scholarship of 3 000 Czech crowns (about 125 euro).

Students of the course can be accommodated at VSE dormitory.

The enrolment of students is limited.

  1. Intensive preliminary course of the Czech language for entering the university at  Charles University

-          Yearly Course

Duration of the course: 12.9.2011 – 8.6.2012

Final examinations: 11.6.2012 – 15.6.2012

During the yearly intensive course of the Czech language students learn the grammar of the Czech language, the necessary amount of vocabulary and phraseological units and the system of formulation of sentences. Students taking the course for work or some other reasons will be prepared to deal with everyday situations.

The cost for the training course includes studies of the Czech language (25 hours a week) and the basic study material. On completing the program students pass the final exams and receive the certificates.

Duration of the course: 12.9.2011 – 20.1.2012

                                           6.2.2012 – 8.6.2012

Final examinations: 23.1.2012 – 27.1.2012

                                    11.6.2012 – 15.6.2012

During the term intensive language course students receive the amount of knowledge necessary for using in everyday situations as for communicating as for writing. But they also can continue studying in the next term course. The cost for the training course includes studies of the Czech language (25 hours a week) and the basic study material. On completing the program students pass the final exams and receive the certificates.
